*Foundation stone laid for community center in Kardiguda*
Damanjodi, 11/5: Taking a step forward towards the development of its surrounding area, NALCO Project, the second largest alumina producer in Asia, has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a community center in Kardiguda village under Litiguda Panchayat. NALCO Executive Director Eng. Niranjan Samal was the chief guest, while Group General Manager of Mines VSS Anand, Group General Manager of H&A Department Sugato Anand Basu, along with Group General Managers and senior officers of various departments were present as the chief guests of honour. After a visit to the identified place in the presence of NALCO officials and some prominent people of the village, the *Foundation Stone* was unveiled. Ms. Subhasree Bishoyi, Civil Engineer of NALCO Foundation, was also present at the event. A senior official of NALCO informed that an expenditure of Rs. 45 lakh has been sanctioned for the said work from NALCO Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund and the work order will be announced soon and the work will start.
