State-level Panchapattamaali Natya Mahotsav inaugurated

Damanjodi:-17/4 (Ramesh) The state-level drama competition, which has been going on for last 19 years, was inaugurated on 17th April 2025 by Panchapattamaali Natya Santha, the leading drama organization of NALCO Damanyodi area , the industrial center of Koraput district, today at the Muktakash Rangamanch located in Sector One.

NALCO Executive Director Sri Niranjan Samal, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. All the group general managers of NALCO , were present as the guests of honor. The president (GGM NALCO) Bichanda Charan Das delivered the welcome cum Presidential address . Other invited guests and Group General Manager (Finance) Sanjay Gupta and the chief guest Eng Niranjan Samal highly appreciated the efforts of the state level grand drama festival in this remote area of Koraput District through their address .The play "Kalamalli", written by playwright Sushant Kumar Dash and based on the devotion of Sakha Balaram Das, the enlightened devotees of Lord Jagannath was staged. The play was directed by Shri While Shesadadeb Satapathy. On other days on 18th Ammesabu Mendha by Kasturi Rourkela, Panchambeda by Bharati Kala Nike tan Umerkot, on 19th Mahamahim by Natyaprava Balesore, and Bhag by Cultural Association Sambalpur, on 20th Unmesh focusing and promoting the students talent by five high local schools DPS, SVM, SSVM, AGHS, and Aurobindo Purnang Sikshya Kendra were staged. On 21st Raktararanga By Theatre Abhigyan Cuttack and Kulabadhu by Indradhanu Theatre Bhubaneswar, on 22nd Amesabu Marisarichhu by Kalakar Angul and Deen by Manchanayak Sambalpur , on 23rd Kaunra by NSSA Sundergarh and Miskruti by Nua Parichaya Bhubaneswar.On 25th. the eighth Night, Drama
plays "Andhara" and "Trushna" were staged on the eighth
night. The play "Andhara" by Tridhara Natya Sangh, Nabarangpur and the play "Trushna" by Bimala Natya Sansad Randiya, Bhadrak captivated the hearts of thousands of viewers with their captivating performances. Sri Ashutosh Rath, EPO (Executive Director, Human Resources and Administration). Was the chief guest of the evening . This unique cultural event will continues till the 27th. The awards will be distributed on the 27th. A Banijya Mela focusing on local produce and a food Mela is also continuing as a wing of the event. . This festival is considered as one of the best cultural event of the area. A huge crowd has been noticed everyday and local people are showing high enthusiasm and motivating the artists. This years programme is seen being administered with a separate vigour under guidance of New President Bichhanda Dash and Secretary Shri Nirmal Rout and other active members namely K N Patra, N Ravikumar, R kanungo. Srikant Sahu, Sanjay Barik, Sisir Misra, Sukhdev PattYat, CR Das, Uttar Patnayak, Ashok Kar,Rabindra Sahu, Kamadeb Sahu, and many others .
