a shocking incident has come to light where a Forest Officer in Bidar was caught on video assaulting a news reporter on the road grabbing him by the collar and physically attacking him.

This is not just an attack on a journalist, but an attack on the freedom of the press and democracy itself!

If a government officer can treat a reporter like this in public, imagine how he behaves with the common people behind closed doors!

Karnataka Digital Media Working Journalist Association strongly condemns this act of gundagardi and demands:

1. Immediate suspension of the forest officer involved.

2. A fair and transparent inquiry into the incident.

3. Strict action to ensure this never happens again.

We urge the Karnataka Government, Bidar Incharge Minister, and District Administration to act swiftly. Journalists are not alone. We will fight back.
