Rain water harvesting wells in various sectors in Panchkula.

Haryana Development Authority Panchkula has decided to create/ develop rain water harvesting wells in the district. Sources said total 17 rain water harvesting wells to be developed to solve water shortage during rising temperature in various sectors of District . Sector 5 and 30 Pinjore Kalka Urban State, Sector-23 to 32 Panchkula extension, Sector 1 to 6 MDC. Purposes of these wells to recharge the ground water level by capturing and channelling rains water into the ground increasing availability rising ground water level during dry days.Harvesting water can be used for sanitation, washing, irrigation and even for drinking after purification. Estimated cost for the project is Rs 71.68 lacs. Tender process is in progress and bids will be opened on 18/4/2025.
