Hubballi, April 13: In a shocking incident , The accused of rape and murder case of a minor girl in Hubballi succumbed to the injuries after he was shot in the leg by police while attempting escape.

According to media reports, due to excessive bleeding, the accused succumbed to his injuries. The public has strongly supported the swift and stern action taken by the police.

The victim’s parents, originally from Yalaburga taluk in Koppal district, had been residing in Hubballi for work. The father worked as a painter, while the mother managed household chores and later assisted at a beauty parlour in the afternoons.

On the day of the incident, when the mother returned home, she found her daughter missing. She immediately informed her husband, and the couple began searching for the child. Tragically, the girl’s body was found in a nearby toilet.

Within a few hours, the accused died from the gunshot wound, which brought some solace to the grieving family. Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar’s prompt action has been widely appreciated by the public. The parents expressed that their daughter’s soul would now rest in peace.
