Creative Wall Painting Drive Inspires Environmental Awareness Across Malda Railway Division
In a remarkable initiative to promote environmental consciousness and beautify public spaces, the Malda Division of Eastern Railway organized a 'Creative Wall Painting Drive' on Sunday at Eco Park, Malda. The one day campaign aimed to encourage conservation of nature, improve greeneries of environment and foster eco- friendly values among the citizens.
The event was held under the leadership of Mr. Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, and Smt. Manisha Gupta, President of Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ERWWO), Malda. Mr. Sheo Kumar Gupta, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, along with other senior branch officers, their families, and children also took enthusiastic part in this vibrant and meaningful initiative.
Participants painted the walls near Eco Park with vibrant and meaningful artwork. The paintings included themes such as Gautam Buddha meditating under a tree, a sunrise, a butterfly, dustbins encouraging proper waste disposal, and a dolphin leaping into a river—all symbolizing harmony with nature and the importance of environmental conservation.
On the occasion, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager,Malda, stated, “Malda Division has always remained committed to promoting cleanliness and sustainability. These creative artworks carry strong messages about waste segregation, the harmful effects of littering, and the importance of environmental protection, especially among children and youth. We hope this initiative inspires everyone to connect with nature and take small but meaningful steps towards a greener future.”
This creative initiative, aligned with the vision of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, not only enhances the visual appeal of the area but also serves as a powerful educational tool, inspiring the next generation to respect and protect the environment.
