*Perception of health mission management staff for 12 days* *Various services disrupted in Koraput district*


Koraput/Damanjodi: According to the call of the Odisha Health Mission Management Staff Union, the management staff of the National Health Mission are sitting in protest at the lower PMG of Bhubaneswar with two demands such as the creation of public health management posts and permanent employment. Since March 10, the management staff of the National Health Mission have been sitting in the protest. Various activities in the health sector have been disrupted. All 146 employees participated in this initiative. Notably, these employees were working on various government health schemes like reduction of maternal and child mortality rate, maternal and child protection scheme, national security program, management of tuberculosis, leprosy, malaria, filaria, mental illness, management of non-communicable diseases, day-to-day management, patient counselling, Asha's payment services etc. Due to this, these activities are hindered and the amount of money through DBT is not being paid to pregnant women, maternity and other beneficiaries. Likewise, pure staff, aspirants etc. are not getting access. All portal reporting is hindered. While the age of the employees is increasing day by day, even after working for more than 20 years, not even one job is regularized. Due to this strike call to take action, its impact has been seen in the entire district. Due to this, the health services and management at the village, block and district level has become a kind of stifle. If the idea continues for a few more days, the salary of the doctors and employees who are paid by the health mission and the monthly payment of the vehicles and staff employed through the contractors for various health services will not be paid.
