RPF rescues 357 children under “Operation Nanhe Ferishte” in Malda Division

Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Malda Division is making relentless efforts to ensure the safety and security of passengers. Under the initiative of Operation Nanhe Ferishte, RPF personnel have rescued around 357 minors from various stations of Malda Division in the financial year 2023-24.

Nanhe Ferishte is an important initiative of Indian Railways, which works for the protection of children in distress at railway stations. Railway Protection Force personnel keep a vigilant eye take prompt action to identify helpless and endangered children. The rescued children are immediately handed over to the child welfare authorities so that they get proper protection and rehabilitation.

The vigilant eye and prompt action of Railway Protection Force has enabled many children to be reunited with their families, while others have been provided safe shelter. This commendable initiative highlights the strong commitment of Railway, Malda Division towards child safety and passenger safety.

Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Malda Division, appreciated the tireless efforts of RPF and reiterated the commitment of Indian Railways towards passenger safety and child welfare.
