RDTC is undertaking identification, planning, construction, and implementation of ropeway projects and innovative transport solutions in Himachal Pradesh with an aim to provide first/last mile connectivity.

Innovative Transport Solutions for Shimla, Dharamshala, and Manali
Draft conceptual plan/pre-feasibility studies for developing alternative innovative transport solutions in Shimla, Dharamshala, and Manali have been completed.

The RFP for the development of Innovative Urban Transport Solution by Ropeways in Shimla Phase-I on PPP/PPP via VGF mode has been floated. The 22 km long ropeway is estimated to cost Rs. 1,200 crore.

Ropeway Connectivity to Killer in Chamba
The financial bids for consultancy services for the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for ropeway connectivity to Killer via Sach Pass in district Chamba have been opened. M/S Systra MVA Consulting (India) Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded the work.

The ropeway from Bhanodi to Pre-Garaon via Sach Pass is to be developed in eight stages and will have a tentative length of 21.80 km.
