Grand Mahashivratri Shobha Yatra Mesmerizes Devotees in Mehatpur

25.02.2025 Mehatpur witnessed a magnificent and spiritually uplifting Mahashivratri Shobha Yatra, which commenced from the Pracheen Shiv Mandir, passed through the bus stand and returned to the Shiv Mandir, spreading devotion and unity throughout the town.

The yatra featured various remarkable tableaus that beautifully depicted Lord Shiva’s divine presence. The Shiv Linga showcased in the procession was extraordinarily crafted and admired by devotees, adding to the spiritual aura of the event. Huge crowds gathered, and the streets were lined with long processions of trolleys and other vehicles, symbolizing the deep faith and enthusiasm of the participants.

The event saw massive participation, with devotees organizing langar stalls at key locations like Jackpal shop, Sood Sweets, and Somi Bartan Bhandar, offering prasad and refreshments to all attendees. Various stalls provided a wide range of food items, making the yatra a perfect blend of devotion, community service, and cultural celebration.

Prominent political leaders and social figures joined the procession, including AAP Halka Incharge Pinder Pandori with party workers, BJP spokesperson Dr. Amarjit Thind along with supporters, PA Sonu Kang, alongwith Captain Rajvinder Sharma representing Congress MLA Hardev Singh Sherowalia. Pram gyani sh Shiv Prakash Dhiman, Divya Jyoti Sants were also presents.

The yatra also saw participation from Nagar Panchayat Mehatpur members, Present Ramesh Mehay including ex-President Ramesh Verma, Sushil Kumar Bawa, Vijay Aneja, Rajkumar Jagga, Vice President Mohinderpal Turna, Parshotam, and Councillor Kamal Kishor joined the event. Other key community figures present were Ramesh Mehay, Pankaj, Kashmiri Lal, Rama Bhandari, Ashutosh Bhandari, Monoj Chopra, Rakesh Sharma, Kulwinder Sandu, Surinder Chanchal, ex-Sarpanch Ashwani Kumar, Ashwani Gill, Johny Verma, Sabhi Dhariwal, Gagan Baloki, Kuldip Hans, Deepa Pardhan (Ambedkar Sena), and Ashok Kumar, Baljinder Singh Kang, Sukhwinder Cheema, Bittu Pahalwan.
