New Income Tax Bill introduced in Lok Sabha
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the new Income Tax Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The bill aims to simplify the six decades-old rules and remove old and redundant sections of the law. In July 2024, Sitharaman announced the government would simplify its income tax law and reduce disputes.
