Hyderabad: BRSV GHMC Coordinator Advocate Mir Qurram Ali has strongly criticized the Congress government for failing to issue lakhs of pending ration cards while simultaneously rejecting and canceling existing ones without any prior notice. He questioned why the government is misleading the public and playing political games ahead of the upcoming municipal elections.
Ali pointed out that the Congress-led government is making false promises by bringing up schemes like ration cards and two-bedroom houses, only to halt them once the election code comes into effect. He alleged that the government is deliberately stalling these welfare initiatives, using them as a political tool to gain public favor before elections.
Ration Card Registration Issues
According to Ali, the government recently opened the ration card application website on February 6, only to shut it down within a day or two, causing confusion and inconvenience to thousands of applicants. He criticized the inefficiency of the process, highlighting that citizens are being forced to stand in long queues for more than an hour at Meeseva centers just to apply for their rightful benefits.
Ali demanded the introduction of a mobile application system for applying for ration cards, arguing that it would significantly ease the process for citizens. "Why is the government making people suffer unnecessarily when technology can simplify the process?" he asked.
Concerns Over Duplicate Documentation
Ali also raised concerns about the government's handling of application forms. He questioned why citizens are being asked to submit their details online again when the government had already collected them through previous applications. "Where are the forms that people have already submitted? Have they been discarded as scrap?" he asked, demanding transparency in the process.
Public Distrust in Congress
Ali warned the people not to trust the Congress government, stating that both Congress and its governance policies have repeatedly failed the public. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and not be deceived by the government's temporary schemes and pre-election tactics.
The demand for immediate action on pending ration cards is growing, and Ali has called on the government to address these issues before proceeding with new registrations. The public now awaits a response from the authorities regarding these pressing concerns. #BRSV, #MirQurramAli #RationCards #hyderabad #telangana
