In my opinion Modi's victory is due to the greatest relief he provided to middle class in the form of Income tax exemption.

In middle income group everybody is afraid of income tax and conceals some income in IT returns in one way or other.

And also this middle class is not eligible for any other free gift schemes.

No such bothering now.

The IT relief is Modi's master stroke to help middle income groups.

In terms of percentage of votes, Modi's victory is not that sweeping.
But for IT relief, BJP would have even lost the election as the percentage of votes polled is much narrower between APP and BJP.
If some more reliefs are provided to middle class in Gas, Petrol, Education and Medical fields Mody remains lifelong PM.
