Banjars have requested the central government and the state government to make a national holiday on February 15, the birth anniversary of Shri Sewalal Maharaj, the idol of Banjaras.

Sri Sant Sewalal Maharaj, who preached that violence is a sin and drunkenness and smoking is a curse, became a role model for all the Banjaras across India. He preached the war against the British, propaganda of dharma, economic reforms and protection of Kshetradharma.

On behalf of the Tribal Welfare Association, they requested the government to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sant Shri Sewalal Maharaj, who has such a great history, and declared it as a holiday to spread the history of the nation throughout the state of Telangana.
