Mahakumbh: Free travel in shuttle buses from today, 13 routes will be operated

On the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the biggest bathing festival of the Maha Kumbh Mela, devotees will be able to travel free of cost in the shuttle buses running under the UP Roadways and Urban Transport Service till January 30. These buses will be operated on 13 routes from January 28 to 30.

Shuttle buses will arrive in the city to Bharat Scout-Guide, Hindu Hostel Chauraha, Leprosy Chauraha. During this time, 45-45 shuttle buses will be kept in reserve near Prayagraj Junction and Prayag Station. At the same time, 40 shuttle buses have been arranged on the platform number one side of Subedarganj railway station and 30 on the platform number six side.

Apart from this, 80 buses have been kept in reserve at DFC ground. UP Roadways has made preparations to run buses to all the cities of the state for the next three days. Buses from all over the district have already reached the spot. MK Trivedi, regional manager of UP Roadways Prayagraj region, said passengers coming from Kanpur, Jhansi, Agra, Fatehpur, Kaushambi routes will be able to board shuttle buses from Nehru Park.

Passengers coming to Prayagraj from Ayodhya, Lucknow, Bareilly, Sultanpur and Pratapgarh will be able to travel in these buses from the temporary bus station built in Bela Cachar. Similarly, passengers coming from Mirzapur, Rewa, Banda, Chitrakoot, Vindhyachal will be able to come to Leprosy intersection by shuttle buses.
