Man electrocuted to death after truck door touches power transformer

After parking the vehicle near an electric transformer, Mirza Asad parked his truck beside the transformer at night time and after wakeup he opened the front door
but the metal door touched the transformer causing a high voltage electric shock

A 42-year-old driver was allegedly electrocuted to death after his truck’s front door came in touch with a power transformer when he opened it to come out in hyderabad locality on Monday afternoon, said police.

“The deceased was identified as Mirza Asad ullah Baig, a resident of Bidar dist. in karnataka. He worked as a truck driver at a transport parcel company in Bidar,”


“Mirza Asad suffered extensive burn injuries and electricity supply in the area was snapped. “Upon hearing a loud blast from the transformer, locals ran to rescue the man, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died while undergoing treatment,”

Police were alerted about the incident from the hospital and the post-mortem of the deceased was conducted on Tuesday, police said, a complaint has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway.
The body was handed over to the family.
