Damanjodi:-9/1 A Bhajan Cassettee "MAA KANTABAUSUNI" on Damanjodi's presiding deity Goddess Maa Kantabaunsuni written and composed by eminent writer , vocalist and singer Sri Debendra Kumar Raju of Damanjodi has been released today during Goddess Kantabausuni's Pusupunei Yatra. As per the yatra and Puja tradition of Maa Kantabausuni , Goddess has been presently being worshipped at the village which is her ancestral place. As per the traditions and puja systems, lot of puja rituals are being followed everyday in the village .After puja everyday parikrama to all the neibouring villages taking place in a very well decorated procession witnessed by recital of bhajan and traditional music instruments in addition to dance by young and old devotees. On this auspicious occasion, Devendra Kumar Raju's voiced, self-sung and self-sponsored bhajan was launched in the presence of senior sevayats, managing committee , puja committee elederly persons of the village and others. Nalco DGM and Advocate Dr. Ramesh Chandra Dash, Advocate Nalinikant Senapati, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mohanty, TU leader Shri Ashok Kumar Padhi, Veterans Karutivas Raju, Gauri Badanaik, Nava Pujaris, Puja Committee volunteers and other Villagers were present . Devendra's father Abhimanyu Raju, mother Ratnamani Raju, Dharmapatni Sandhyrani Raju, Sukanya Ompriya, Suputra Bithal Prasad were also present for this hymn. Sri Raju is a hidden talent in the tribal area of Damanjodi . He is working g in Nalco Mines and whenever he gets time tries to explore the hidden treasures of Koraput district through his writings and poems. Many of his innovative thinking have been very popular in the area. His creative and innovative thinking g have been a guiding and motivating influence other young youths of Damanjodi civil society particularly the Anlabadi Colony residents and rising futures . He is also leading the popular Sahitya Sansad "Barsha" popularizing the writing g and singing spirit of creative thinkers of the area.
