Maharashtra govt makes FASTags mandatory from April 1

Maharashtra cabinet on Tuesday announced that FASTags will be made mandatory for all vehicles (both private and commercial), in the state, starting from April 1, 2025. In October last year, former Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had announced that light motor vehicles will no longer be charged at any of the five toll booths leading into Mumbai.
