Demand to declare Gandhidham a district, letter written to Chief Minister

Former MLA of Mundra Kutch, Valjibhai Danicha, has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Gujarat to declare Gandhidham a district. He wrote in the letter that Gandhidham and East Kutch have special requirements and facilities as per all the criteria to declare Gandhidham as East Kutch district. Oil companies, big industries like transport industry, salt industry, steel industry, wooden industry, Kandla Port Trust, IFFCO, first in salt production across India, people from many states living in the spirit of Vasudev Kutumbami, unity of the panchrangi people, many colleges with special importance of education, in addition to that, 70% to 80% of the revenue and other income that the state government gets from the entire Kutch district is received only from East Kutch. As well as being connected to states across India, it is also connected by air to Mumbai, Delhi, Rajasthan, West Bengal, North Eastern and Southern states of the country, so it was asked to declare East Kutch Gandhidham district by including Gandhidham, Anjar, Bhachau, Rapar etc. of East Kutch and making Gandhidham its headquarters like a police district.
