Burn down two floor of knowledge City "Hydrabad" 2 Injured.
:-: HYDERABAD: A blaze, triggered by an explosion in a gas pipeline connected to a restaurant and bar, burned down two floors of a building at Sattva Knowledge City in Madhapur on Saturday, causing minor injuries to two individuals.
:-: As the incident occurred during non-office hours when the building was empty, a potential catastrophe was averted as normally hundreds of employees would be present and moving around the premises during a typical workday.
:-: The blast's impact shattered the glass facade resulting in injuries to the two individuals who were working in the adjacent building. However, no casualties were reported.
:-: Officials said the fire services received an alert at 6.10am, following which they promptly deployed Bronto Skylift and four fire engines from stations at Madhapur, Kukatpally, and Vattinagulapally.
:-: The blaze, which originated from restaurant's kitchen, spread swiftly, despite fire safety equipment and sprinklers in buildings. The emergency systems activated, but the flames already caused destruction. The incident resulted in extensive damage to fourth and fifth floors of building," an officer said.
:-: Sattva Group management stated that with high-quality safety measures in place, the fire was detected, contained, and extinguished by the on-site emergency response team.
:-: We prioritise the safety of our employees, visitors, and infrastructure. Our comprehensive safety protocols include advanced fire detection systems, regular fire drills, 24/7 on-site emergency teams, and maintenance of fire suppression equipment. We are currently investigating the cause of the fire and will continue to monitor situation closely. Operations at Knowledge City are proceeding as usual," a Sattva Group spokesperson said.
