ED recovered Rs fifty crore cash from Partha Chatterjee's close girlfriend's house. He was arrested in July 2022. After a huge amount of cash was recovered from the house, now more sensational information has come to light. The central agency recently submitted the fifth additional charge sheet in the recruitment case to the court. In the chargesheet, the statement of Parth's son-in-law, Kalyanmoy Bhattacharya, has been brought out, from which it is clear how Parth used to launder the cash. Kalyanmoy is currently abroad and has been interrogated several times. He said that Parth used to give cash to different people at different times. That money would later revert to a trust created in the name of Parth's wife. Thus the Babli Chatterjee Memorial Trust was an important center of corruption. The chairman of the trust was Parth's daughter Sohini Chatterjee. Parth himself used to pay the directors of many companies. And they used to send that money as a donation to the Babli Chatterjee Memorial Trust through cheques. Creating this trustIt was done for the purpose of some social service work. An initiative was taken by this trust to build a veterinary clinic at Patuli. Kalyanamoy said that a donation of 1 crore 17 lakh 75 thousand 910 taka was raised for that trust. Partha Chattopadhyay bought 15 khata land with the money of that trust in 2019.Besides, Kalyanamoy also said that in 2017, on the advice of Perth, he set up a company, Botanics Agrotex Pvt Ltd, which dealt in fish and paddy. Several properties were purchased through this company, and Perth paid for these properties. This amount was shown as business profit of the company. Besides, Parth gave 15 crore rupees to Jamai, through which BCM International School was set up.The ED alleged that the Babli Chatterjee Memorial Trust was used for corruption and laundering of black money. Parth and his son-in-law tried to hide the money by creating several fake companies. Partha used the name of Rajiv Dey as the owner of all these companies. Although Kalyanmoy is currently abroad, legal action against him is ongoing.
