Malda Railway Division Observes Constitution Day

Eastern Railway,Malda Division observed the Constitution Day scrupulously throughout its jurisdiction on Tuesday (26.11.2024). Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Malda Division, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta,led the officers and staff in reading the Preamble of the Constitution of India. The event took place at the DRM Office, Malda and witnessed enthusiastic participation from railway officials and staff.

Shri Sheo Kumar Prasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Indrajeet Senior Divisional Personnel Officer and other Branch Officers of Malda Division were also present on the occasion.

Shri Manish Kumar Gupta administered the pledge, reaffirming the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution, including justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The reading of the Preamble served as a reminder of the shared responsibility to uphold the spirit of the Indian Constitution in every sphere of work and life.

Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager ,Malda highlighted the significance of Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, which commemorates the adoption of the Constitution on November 26, 1949. He emphasized the importance of reflecting on constitutional values and applying them in service to the nation.

A similar ceremony was also organized at the Jamalpur Diesel Shed, where the Preamble of the Constitution was read by officers and staff as part of the observance of Constitution Day.

The officers and staff accross Malda Division reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, inclusiveness, and service excellence, thereby contributing to the growth and development of the nation.
