The historical Baliyatra has been inaugurated on 15th of November 2024

The Bali Jatra Cuttack Utsav 2024 was inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi on 15th November and will run until 22nd November in Cuttack, Odisha. The festival, celebrating Odisha’s rich maritime history and ties with Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific, gained an international profile with participation from ASEAN, BIMSTEC, and Pacific Island nations, along with cultural performances by their visiting troupes.

Dignitaries at the inaugural ceremony included Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida, MPs Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab and Shri Bibhu Prasad Tarai, and Shri Jaideep Mazumdar, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs. Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and diplomats from 14 countries also attended, marking a decade of India’s Act East Policy.
