State-Wide Mass Deputation and Memorandum Submission by TIPRA Motha Party to Demand Immediate Resolution of Key Demands*
Today, the TIPRA Motha Party (TMP), alongside its various frontal organisations—including the Youth TIPRA Federation (YTF), TIPRA Women Federation (TWF), TIPRA Indigenous Students Federation (TISF), TIPRA Citizens Federation (TCF), and the TMP-Minority Cell—conducted a state-wide Mass Deputation and Memorandum Submission at all Block Development Officer (BDO) offices in Tripura.
The memorandum, which was addressed to the Hon'ble Governor of Tripura, was submitted through the respective BDOs in every block across the state. The party raised three crucial demands aimed at ensuring the socio-political well-being of the indigenous communities of Tripura:
1. Immediate Implementation of the TIPRASA Accord
2. Immediate Conduct of the Village Committee Elections
3. Immediate Passage of the 125th Amendment to the Indian Constitution
The state-wide initiative saw senior party leaders, including elected representatives (MLAs and MDCs), along with District and Block Presidents, leading the deputations and submitting memorandums. This move highlights the party's firm stance on these pressing issues that impact the indigenous population of the state.
The TIPRA Motha Party under the leadership of Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya remains committed to its mission of protecting and promoting the interests of the indigenous people of Tripura, and today’s action is a step toward pushing for immediate resolution of these long-standing demands.
