Man arrested for illegally transporting deer meat in Karnataka

Forest personnel apprehended Jagadisha Mesta, 49, from Udupi district in Karnataka, for illegally transporting 23 kg of deer meat on a motorcycle. The authorities also seized a knife and gunpowder during the operation, and the case has been transferred to the Kundapura regional zone for further investigation. Jagadisha has been remanded to judicial custody until November 8.
