Malda Division Organised Safety Seminar at Malda Town Railway Station

In a significant step towards enhancing operational safety a safety seminar was organized at the Freight Depot of Malda Town Railway station on Saturday, focusing on enhancing safety measures during train maintenance. The event aimed to emphasize the importance of safety practices, discussing essential safety items that need to be checked during maintenance, the best practices to be adopted, understanding the root causes of failures, and implementing corrective measures for improved performance.

A key focus of the seminar was on the proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during maintenance tasks, as well as detailed discussions on the Rolling In/Out examination procedures. These sessions aimed to reinforce the critical steps required to ensure the safety of staff and the smooth functioning of maintenance operations.

Approximately 100 staff actively participated in the seminar, engaging in discussions and sharing their experiences to foster a culture of safety and awareness within the workforce.
This initiative is a part of the Malda Division’s continuous efforts to maintain the highest safety standards in railway operations.
