Clashes between two groups over the post for Secretary of the Kali Pujo Committee,14 injured

14 people were injured in the clash between the two parties over the formation of the Kali Puja committee. The incident of Chaikbhagiya Dhuritola village of Khas Chandpur of Kaliachak police station. Allegedly, there was a dispute between the two parties over the post of secretary of the local Kali Puja committee. With this, the followers of the two officials of the puja committee named Nikhilchandra Mandal and Bapan Mandal turned against each other.


A massive brawl started between the two sides with sticks. Bleeding occurs in the area. On receiving the information, the police of Kaliachak police station went to the spot and controlled the situation. The injured were rescued and sent to Seelampur Rural Hospital in Kaliachak. According to police sources, 43 people have been identified in this incident. So far 17 people including former Secretary Nikhil Chandra Mondal have been arrested. Several weapons were also recovered from the spot. Police are searching for the rest of the accused.
