*
*A Journey of Passion, Dedication, and Divine Expression*

In the revered city of Varanasi, a melting pot of art, culture, and spirituality, Smruti Shyamkant Shirsat's thought-provoking assemblage art has left an indelible mark. Her latest exhibition, "City of Ghats," curated by Agarwal, at the Isshi Art Gallery, showcases her unique blend of creativity and emotional depth.

*A Golden Beginning*

Smruti's artistic odyssey began in school, where she was encouraged by her drawing professor, Peter Braganza. Her late father, Shyamkant Vaikunth Shirsat, played a pivotal role in nurturing her talent, accompanying her to various interstate and state-level drawing competitions. One fateful competition in Siolim, despite the challenges posed by heavy rains, proved to be a turning point. Smruti's vibrant poster color depiction of "Beautiful Goa" earned her the first prize, cementing her resolve to pursue art professionally.

*A Global Canvas*

Smruti's artistic prowess has been showcased internationally, with exhibitions in South Korea, New York, Bhutan, and Canada. Her work continues to captivate audiences worldwide, reflecting her ability to transcend cultural boundaries.

*A Tribute to Heritage*

"City of Ghats" pays homage to Varanasi's sacred essence, weaving together the city's spiritual fabric. Smruti's use of natural materials, such as dried pumpkin and jute ropes, creates an immersive experience, inviting viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of life.

*A Legacy of Love*

Smruti's journey is a testament to the power of parental support and encouragement. Her father's unwavering presence at exhibitions, including "Colours of Divine Expression" at the Prince of Wales Museum, Mumbai, and the Nehru Centre, remains an inspiration.

*A Creative Continuum*

As Smruti continues to push the boundaries of assemblage art, her dedication to her craft serves as a beacon for emerging artists. Her story is a poignant reminder that art can transcend generations, cultures, and geographical boundaries, speaking directly to the soul.
