National Highway number 29 starting from Dabaka (Assam)to Dimapur, chumukedima,Kohima (Nagaland) and Manipur state is under progressing now in 5 lane ways.The starting point Dabaka to Dimapur 4 lane Road crossing a major portion in Karbi Anglong district of Assam and the Karbi Anglong autonomous council, Diphu acquisitioned the land acquired as per NH authority which compensated land owners through KAAC authority.But many original land owners deprived from compensation grant.The beneficiaries listed by Revenue officials of Karbi Anglong autonomous council, Diphu are reported malpractices in order to siphoning off compensation fund supported by National Highway officials.Many local and original land owners lost their land on 4 lane road construction without compensation.
