Kaac-Apdcl Agreement

Karbi Anglong autonomous council,Diphu (Kaac)going to handover 18000 bighas of Lahorijan proposed Reserved Forest to Assam power distribution corporation Ltd(Apdcl) for installation of solar energy project @ approx.36 Lakh per bigha.The kaac- Apdcl agreement is not went smooth as ethnic villagers,social organisations not agreed on compensation grant to be paid @1.75 Lakh per bigha to land owners settled nearby PRF.Nearly 2000 bighas land out of 18000 bighas was under occupation of Karbi tribe and other ethnic group.The majority of ethnic people demands to enhance competition rate of per bigha to kaac but yet to resolve and amicable settlements.Many Social organisations demanded for cancellation of Kaac-Apdcl agreement for the interest of reservation of ancestral land. KAAC trying to manage the situation but the question arises that whether the huge amount of fund will deposit under kaac exchequer? Reportedly that about multicrores has been used by kaac authority
