Crackdown on Stubble burning in Punjab: 5 FIRs registered
Since September 15, 2024, Punjab has seen 98 stubble burning incidents. The authorities have imposed fines amounting to ₹1.25 lakh on 40 farmers, and five FIRs have been registered to combat the issue. This move is part of the state's efforts to manage air pollution during the harvest season.
