Tripura Flood deaths rise to 31 : 'Sanskar Bharati' stands by the endangered

Severe Flood affected people of Tripura are slowly returning to their homes from relief camps. As on 30/8/24 , the number of relief camps has reduced to 369. The number of refugees has decreased to 53356.
Number of dead in the flood has increased to 31 .

Meanwhile, the flood situation in Amarpur, Udaipur , Belonia and Sonamura has gradually started to normalize as the water level of Gomti River has started to come down.

Yet Water logged at Brahmabari to Mata Bari area of NH-8 Road by leaking the Canel side by. Many houses are under water still now .

Many social Organisations including "Sanskar Bharati -Gomati District committee" rushes to the Relief camps and distributed Baby food , clothes , medicines , Rice , Dry foods and other essential things .

Central Team visited the State. In a press conference Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey said that the Inter-Ministerial Central Delegation led by Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary BC Joshi arrived in the state on Wednesday afternoon to investigate the flood situation in the state. The team includes officials from the Ministries of Agriculture, Finance, Transport, Water Resources and Rural Development.

The Chief Minister directed the district magistrates to continue providing food, drinking water, health services to those in the camps. He said that the water level of Gomti river in Sonamura is flowing below the danger level.

Informed , 2 lakh ORS packet, 1 lakh halogen tablets, 10 lakh zinc tablets along with fever medicines, skin lotions will be procured.
