Govt Teacher beaten to death in Tripura !

A Govt Teacher was beaten to death in Udaipur of Gomti district , Tripura by anti-social elements !?The name of the deceased Govt Teacher is Abhijit Dey. A sensation has been created in the city of Udaipur based on the incident.
Reported that on August 8, Abhijit Dey, a teacher of Taibandal English Medium School was picked up from Udaipur Central Road at night to Poultry Road . Abhijit's brother complained that he was taken and severely beaten. Abhijit Dey was beaten and handed over to the police. The next day, when he was produced in court, he vomited blood. Abhijit passed away at GB Hospital on Saturday afternoon.


Abhijit's tragic death caused a strong reaction in various circles including students, teachers and staff. TET association leaders and other Govt Employee Organisations including Minister Shri Pranjit Singh Roy visited the deceased teacher Abhijeet's house. Minister said that the Hon'ble Chief Minister of the state directed the police officials to conduct a complete investigation of the incident.

All the teachers in the state will protest today on 12th August by wearing black badges - said Ajay Pal, General Secretary of Tripura TET Teachers Welfare Association(ATTWA) . A mournful silence will be observed in front of the Rabindra Centenary Building on Tuesday, August 13 at 6 p.m
The association demanded immediate arrest of the teacher's killers. Sri Ajay Pal expects that government to play a positive role in providing security for teachers in the coming days.
