India picks Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla for Indo-US space mission

ISRO on Friday announced that Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla would be sent to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of the Axiom-4 mission.

ISRO's Human Space Flight Centre signed an agreement with Axiom Space for the mission, with Shukla as the primary pilot and Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair as backup. Their training will commence in early August.
