Anis Gharba Bachao Tehreek has organized an all-party protest sit-in at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park

**All-Party Protest Sit-In at Dharna Chowk Today Over Controversial Building Transfer**

*Hyderabad, July 21* — The Anis Gharba Bachao Tehreek has organized an all-party protest sit-in at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, scheduled to begin at 1 PM today. The protest aims to challenge the ownership rights granted to Anees Al-Gharba and address concerns over the recent decision by the Waqf Board and Congress government to transfer an entire building to Timreez at the expense of lepers.

Over 20 all-party protest sit-ins are planned as part of this initiative. The demonstrators are calling for the Telangana government and the Waqf Board to retract their controversial decision. They are also highlighting an unfulfilled promise from the Telangana government’s election manifesto, which pledged to allocate Rs. 4,000 crore for minority budgets.

Despite seven months in office, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's administration has been criticized for failing to honor its promises to the minority community, particularly Muslims. Concerns have been raised about perceived injustices towards imams and muezzins in the state, who are reported to have been neglected while leaders of other religions receive preferential treatment.

Mir Qurram Ali, National Youth President of the Bharatiya Muslim Leaders Conference, addressed the media, stating that Anees Al-Gharba is an orphan and the property in question is a home for children without families. He accused the government of misusing the name of Timreez and education to justify the transfer, calling the action illegal. Ali emphasized that the orphanage is over 100 years old and demanded that the Congress government fulfill its promises by providing financial support of Rs. 1,000 to muezzins and imams and releasing minority scholarships. He criticized the Congress for making false promises and misleading the people of Telangana.

Prominent figures supporting today’s sit-in include Maulana Hakeem Sufi Syed Shah Muhammad Khairuddin Qadri, President of the Muslim United Federation and All India Sufi Ulema Council; Maulana Dr. Syed Asif Omari of Jamiat Ahl Hadith; Maulana Syed Hamid Hussain Shatari, President of the Sunni Ulema Board; Mr. Mir Inayat Ali Baqeri, Vice President of the Bharatiya Muslim Leaders Conference; Maulana Riazuddin Naqshbandi, President of the Ulema Board; Mr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz, President of MPJ; Mr. MAA Amin, President of the Development Society; MA Sattar of Organization Awaz; Sikandarullah Khan of MBT; Syed Mateen Ahmed of TDP; Syed Aziz Pasha of CPI; MA Siddiqui of the All India Muslim Minority Organization; Dr. Aleem Khan Fulki, President of Soshu Reforms; and Prof. Anwar Khan Sahib.

These leaders are urging Muslims and supporters of Anis Gharba, as well as other social organizations, to participate in the sit-in to advocate for their rights and demonstrate solidarity with the community. The protest will continue until the government meets their demands and fulfills its election promises.
