Before we shed light on such a topic today, one thing needs to be said.For Industrialization ,Land Acquisition done at Haldia/Vide.For the sake of industrialization,a total of 147.76 Acres of Land Under Durgachak PS in the district Of Purba Medinipur (erstwhile undivided Medinipur)as acquired vide L.A Case No-2 of 63-64 L.A Collector Dated 15.03.63.

In Durgachak "G" Block, Durgachak "G" Block Primary School was established in 1970 Under Purba Medinipur District Primary School Sansad(Haldia Chakra). Currently the school is located in Ward No. 12 under Haldia Municipality. Earlier it was located in Ward No. 9. The school is in the land map of H.D.A(Add: HALDIA UNNAYAN BHABAN,CITY CENTRE,DEBHOG,PIN-721657) and in the land map of District Magistrate-Purba Medinipur(LA Section, Haldia, Basudevpur, Khanjanchak,Purba Medinipur-721602). Marked as School (P)-210'X133'. Bounded by 20 feet wide road on the north and south, Haldia-Mecheda Road on the east and Plot No. 11 and 12 on the west. Haldia Notified Area Authority was formed on 1st September 1983. Measurement of school area (210'X133'=27930 SQF) as per holding tax (Holding No.-64, 1984). Note that both the offices use the map for various official purposes. The current student strength of the school is 137 (SC-40,OBC-18,GEN-23,MUSLIM-16).


Formerly, the remaining area except the school building was a children's playground, where school-going children roamed freely and played sports. Local Durgachak Milan Sangh Club Bamfron School is on the road side (Date-10-06-2016) for integrated sports (indoor) and cultural activities. The foundation stone was laid by the present MP Lakshan Chandra Seth Mahashay.Then step by step, first gymnasium hall (2006), second multi-stored building (2007), third Durga Puja office building 2017 blocked the grounds.Today that multi-storied building is a business establishment. Later, Haldia Municipal Chairperson Smt. Tamalika Panda Seth and then Councilor Rita Midya Das changed the holding number of the school at various times (1984-1985 holding number -64, 2005-2006 holding number 146/115, 2008-2009 holding number -134/146) - which is against municipal law, I think so. According to the information given to Haldia Municipality, the club reg. No.- S/L/86765 of 1915-16. It should also be noted that on 29.05.2015, when illegal construction started on the school site, the construction work was stopped due to the obstruction of the then local Trinamul Councilor Helen Karan Mahashya. After that, the officials of the club at that time changed political parties, and continued this illegal construction. Go again allows Rita Midyadas to win as a councillor at 2017 Municipal Election.And with his support and administrative cooperation, the illegal construction started again from 22.12.2017. As a result, drinking water supply of schools, cooking water drainage of mid-day meals, sports ground along with movement of students have been blocked. In this, students and school authorities are facing various problems including school reading. At present, the way to the toilet of the female students is also closed. The school authorities applied to the Durgachak police station (GD No. 189/ 06.01.2018) and various other concerned places but did not get any solution.Even after the news of this illegal construction in Anandabazar newspaper on 2.08.2018, Yugshankh newspaper on 6.08.2018, no action was taken by the local administration.


It should also be noted that late Suresh Karan was a powerful political party leader so the administration did not take any action at that time. Secretary Jaharlal Barik and President Purnya Maiti also had the influence of money and manpower. It is also heard that the Milan Sangh Club used different registrations at different times.


In such a situation, by investigating the administrative rules, the land previously occupied by Milan Sangh Club since 2006, and its illegal construction should be removed, and the school should be shown its legal place. West Bengal government is currently removing various illegal constructions, pavement shops. So my humble request to you is that you take measures to return the land that is due to a school, because we are hopeful of you.
