Observation of International Level Crossing Awareness Day organized by Malda Railway Division

A program was organized by Malda Division of Eastern Railway to mark International Level Crossing Awareness Day on 06.06.2024 at Level Crossing Gate No. 62 located at State Bank More Road near English Bazar Regulated Market(Aam Bazar), Malda. Additional Divisional Railway Manager,Malda Mr. Sheo Kumar Prasad along with other branch officers were also present on the said occasion. This awareness programme was organized under the supervision of Safety Department Officer, Malda Railway Division, Mr. B.B.P. Kushwa where all the Safety Department personnel were present. A nukkad drama was conducted by Railway Scouts and Guides to create awareness among the people along with Additional Divisional Manager,Malda Division Mr.Sheo Kumar Prasad and Divisional Security Officer Mr. B.B.P. Kushwa distributed awareness pamphlets among the common people of the area. People are informed that there are total 139 level crossing gates under Malda railway division and if the railway gate is closed, they should not try to cross the railway line with bicycle, riksha or car and also not to use mobile phone while crossing the railway gate. Malda Railway Division requests all to follow all railway rules at level crossings and cooperate with railways as citizens to ensure safe train movement.
