BJP & CONGRESS RETAINS THEIR SEATS IN MALDA

Congress retains their Gani Ghar Dakshin Maldaha. Indian National Congress candidate Isha Khan Chowdhury won by 128368 vote over Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sreerupa Mitra Chowdhury . Mr.Khan Chowdhury bagged 572395 votes in favour of him, while BJP Candidate Sreerupa Mitra Chowdhury bagged 444027 vote. The Trinomool Congress candidate Shahanawaz Ali Raihan bagged 299825 votes. In 2019 Indian National Congress candidate Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury won by 4846 voted. This year Indian National Congress declared the name of Isha Khan Chowdhury, son of Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury . The political analysis said that Congress retain their Strong field Malda as the name of Late ABA Gani Khan Chowdhury, veteran Congress leader and 8 times Member of Parliament . Meanwhile Gani Khan Chowdhury was the elder brother of Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury. And till at present the political atmosphere of Maldaha district is directed in the name of Late ABA Gani Khan Chowdhury . On the other site BJP retains their seat Maldaha Uttar Constituency . BJP Candidate & Existing member of parliament Khagen Murmu won by 76984 votes defeating Trinamool Congress candidate Prasun Banerjee. Khagen Murmu bagged 523413 votes while Prasun Banerjee bagged 446429 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Mostaque Alam bagged 382199 votes. This is the 2nd time elected of Khagen Murmu in Lok Sabha.
