FINAL VOTER TURN OUT IN DELHI LOK SHABHA ELECTION

Delhi witnessed a voter turnout of 53.73% till 5 pm as polling continued for its seven Lok Sabha constituencies on Saturday.



The highest turnout of 57.97% was recorded in the North East Delhi constituency, while the New Delhi seat had the lowest voting percentage at 50.44.

Chandni Chowk recorded 53.27% polling, East Delhi 53.69%, North West Delhi 53.17%, West Delhi 54.15% and South Delhi 51.84%.

Officials have reported that a total of 1.52 crore voters, comprising 82 lakh men, 69 lakh women, and 1,228 individuals from the third gender category, are eligible to vote across more than 13,000 polling booths spread across the seven constituencies. Additionally, there are over 2.52 lakh first-time voters participating in this election cycle.

In both the 2014 and 2019 elections, the BJP secured victories in all seven seats in Delhi.

AAP and Congress, partners in the INDIA bloc, have adopted a four-three seat-share formula for contesting the elections in Delhi. This is the first time in a Lok Sabha election in Delhi that the AAP and Congress have fielded joint candidates.
