DC Samba reviews land use change cases in DLC meeting.
#Samba: Deputy Commissioner Samba Sh Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee on conversion of J&K agricultural land to non-agricultural purposes at the DC office.
The DC, who is the Chairman of the Committee, directed the officers not to allow fragmentation of agricultural land or any illegal conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural purposes, thereby affecting agricultural production in the district.
The DC directed the concerned members to ensure timely issuance of NOCs to the applicants after proper verification of documents.
A total of 23 cases were reviewed, out of which 03 cases were approved, 05 cases were rejected and the remaining 15 cases were returned for further clarification on formalities.
The DC said that any violation of land use will be reported by the Chief Agriculture Officers to the concerned ACR, SDM or Tehsildar. He said that through land use change application, applicants will get permission or NOC on fast-track basis and it will ensure quick public delivery services from government offices.
The meeting was attended by ACR Samba, Dr. Kusum Chib, GM DIC, Gurpreet Singh, DFO Samba, Town Planner, Divisional Officer JK PCC, Executive Engineers PWD Samba and Vijaypur, Executive Engineer JPDCL, Executive Engineer Flood Control & Irrigation and Chief Agriculture Officer.
