Rohit vemula case

Telangana Police has closed its investigation into the death of Hyderabad University PhD scholar Rohith Vemula in January 2016. The police have claimed that he was not a Dalit and he was afraid that his real caste would be identified so he committed suicide. The investigation in Rohit Vemula case was completed in the previous government. In this case, Cyberabad Police had filed a closure report in March 2024.
