RJD national vice-president Devendra Prasad Yadav resigned, citing dissatisfaction with candidate selection. Yadav expressed frustration with "imported" candidates favoured over dedicated party workers. "Had candidates been brought from some other like-minded party..it would've been fine..But I feel suffocated to see people parachuting from parties known for promoting communalism," he said.
