Second encounter in two weeks; gangster shot dead in Ludhiana after cross firing

A gangster wanted in multiple robbery cases was encountered by the Ludhiana police. The encounter look place on Kohara-Machhiwara. Road and resulted in the death of the gangster. The police had previously arrested three of his aides. During the encounter an ASI suffered a bullet injury, but the incharge inspector was saved by his bulletproof jacket. The gang led by the gangster had executed robberies at gunpoint in Ludhiana city and Machhiwara area. The gangster was involved in shooting incidents and robberies targeting various individuals and establishments.
