India reaches the finals of the World Cup as they defeated New Zealand by 70 runs. India batting first scored 397/4 in 50 overs. Gill scored a half century while Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli scored century each.
New Zealand in reply were all out for 327. Daryl Mitchell scored a century while Kane Williamson scored a century. Mohd. Shami took 7/57 and becomes the highest wicket taker in this World Cup till date.
