Kaneri Swamiji's Basava Kalyana entry decided by the Mutt Chief, pro-Basava organizations in a meeting

Bidar: The district Mutt Chief, leaders of pro-Basava organizations and Basava followers have decided to block the entry of the invisible Kadasiddheshwara Swamiji of Kaneri Mutt to the Basava Kalyana on June 28. A unanimous decision was taken in this regard at a meeting held by the Global Lingayat Mahasabha at the Basaveshwara Temple in Gandhiganj in the city on Sunday evening. Kaneri Swamiji has insulted Basava devotees as Basava Taliban. He has abused the Mutt Chief, who is propagating Basava philosophy, with abusive words. He is misleading people by saying Basava philosophy as he pleases. The reason is, he announced that he would not allow them to touch Basavakalyana, the holy land of Basava devotees. A fierce struggle will be waged across the state, including Bidar, against the entry of Kaneri Swamiji Basavakalyana. He demanded that the state government should wake up immediately and impose a ban on the entry of Swamiji Basavakalyana. Kaneri Swamiji is making statements against Basava Tatva for no reason. Even though the Supreme Court has reprimanded him for not being a good citizen, he has not given up his old ways. Therefore, it is inevitable for the followers of Basava to wage a fierce struggle against him in unity, he said. Dr. Basavalinga Pattaddeva, President of the Karnataka Lingayat Mathadhipatis Union, who was present, spoke and said that Kaneri Swamiji is a false chieftain. He said that his anti-Basava Tatva move will be condemned. Kadasiddheshwar Math is a matha of the Sharan tradition. The matha has idols of all the divine men of India. He questioned whether there are any idols of Basavadi Sharan. He said that the time has come for Lingayats and pro-Basava organizations to unite against Kaneri Swamiji. He said that all the heirs of Basavanna will pledge that they will not allow the unholy feet of Kaneri Swamiji to touch the sacred ground of Basavadi Pramathar under any circumstances. Dr. Gangambike Akka of Basava Seva Pratishthan spoke and said that the injustice being done by the priestly shahis will not be allowed to happen on the sacred ground of Basavakalyana. The increase in the dissemination of Basava philosophy has disturbed the sleep of casteists. The result of that is Kaneri Swamiji's anger, he said. Speaking, the state president of the Bharatiya Basava Balag, Babuvali, said that we condemn Kaneri Swamiji's words about Basava Talibanis without any political affiliation. We oppose Kaneri Swamiji's entry into Basava Kalyana without being bound by any political interest. He said that Lingayats should participate in the struggle without becoming puppets of any party. Basavaraj Dhannur, the national vice-president of the Global Lingayat Mahasabha, who was presiding, demanded that Kaneri Swamiji, who had insulted Basava devotees by calling them Basava Talibanis, should apologize to Basava devotees by performing a danda namaskar. Kaneri Swamiji is targeting and insulting Lingayat matadhis who are propagating Basava philosophy. We strongly oppose such Swamiji's entry into Basava Kalyana. He warned that he would not back down from any kind of violent struggle to stop them. Beldala Siddharama Sharan, Gunathirthwadi Basavaprabhu Swamiji, Koraneshwar Swamiji, Basava Dharma Peetha Siddharameshwar Swamiji and others spoke.
