Various projects inaugurated and foundation stone laid on the occasion of World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a new chapter of development has now been added in Bijepur NAC area of Bargarh district. Twelve public interest and environment friendly projects have been inaugurated and foundation stone laid in Bijepur Notified Area Council of Bargarh district. The launch of all these projects was inaugurated by Bijepur Zamindar and MLA Sanat Kumar Gadatia. On this auspicious occasion, Bijepur Tahasildar Mukteswar Panigrahi, Executive Officer Bigyan Bibhudatta Sahu, NAC Chairperson Sita Barik, Assistant Executive Engineer Priyanka Behera, junior Engineer Ajay Patra along with many public representatives, employees and local residents were present.
Among the projects inaugurated and foundation stone laid are 20 KW rooftop hybrid solar project, EV charging station, 500-seat Multipurpose hall, Kalyan Mandap, boating facility at Damodar Kata, Parbati Giri Complex, urban afforestation project, Swat Park, urban haat, food court, electric vehicle management system and aspirational toilet management system. All these projects are expected to contribute to the infrastructure development of the city, environmental protection, promotion of tourism and increasing public amenities. Speaking at the event, MLA Sanat Kumar Gadatiya said that the government and the administration are working together to make Bijepur NAC a modern, clean, beautiful and environment-friendly city. The launch of eco-friendly projects like solar power, EV charging stations and urban afforestation on an important day like World Environment Day will give a new direction to the development of the city in the coming days. He added, “Development and environmental protection complement each other. We are committed to making Bijepur a model city through the use of green energy, tree plantation, cleanliness and modern urban amenities. In the coming days also, more developmental projects will be taken up for the overall development of the region.” While the launch of such public welfare and eco-friendly projects on World Environment Day was welcomed by the local people, it is being expressed that this is a milestone towards the overall development of Bijepur.
