FSSAI Extends Annual Return Filing Deadline to June 15, 2026.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has extended the last date for filing the Annual Return (Form D1) for the financial year 2025–26 to 15 June 2026. This extension provides temporary relief to Food Business Operators (FBOs) by moving the deadline from the original 31 May 2026.

All Central or State licensed FBOs involved in manufacturing, processing, importing, exporting, repacking, and re-labelling must file the return exclusively online via the FoSCoS Portal. Retailers, restaurants, distributors, wholesalers, and small businesses with only Basic FSSAI Registration are exempt. Failure to meet the extended deadline will result in a penalty of ₹100 per day and risks license suspension.

Food business specifically handles milk and dairy products, you are additionally required to file half-yearly returns using Form D2. The deadline for the second half of the financial year (October 2025 to March 2026) was 30 April 2026.
