A large and enthusiastic congregation gathered for the 42nd annual function honoring Swami Ramchand, organized by Baba Roushan Singh at Prime Enclave, Boolan wari. The event, which began with readings from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and devotional kirtan, drew devotees in numbers comparable to previous years.
Former state cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood said Swami Ramchand dedicated his life to serving Baba Farid’s seat and urged people to connect with the divine name and embrace selfless service. “He became a living example of seva (service) and simran (remembrance),” Sood said Baba Roshan Singh and his son, Nirmal Singh, are continuing this tradition admirably.
During the programme, organisers felicitated former councillor Mrs. Manjeet Kaur and Shiromani Akali Dal leader Ranveer Singh Rana in recognition of their contributions. The presence of Saint Baba Ranjeet Singh added further sanctity to the occasion.
Sood emphasized that such spiritual leaders play a vital role in connecting younger generations with their culture and religion, reinforcing values that sustain community life.
