Prize distribution to the winners of chess competitions at the closing ceremony of chess training held at Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram in Bidar
The ten-day summer chess training organized by Vivekananda Chess Academy for children between the ages of 7 and 17 at the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram here concluded on Sunday. 60 children from the district participated in the training with enthusiasm. International chess arbiter Pranesh Yadav from Shivamogga provided the training. Sharanappa Chitaguppa worked as the assistant coach. After the training, a competition was organized for the children in three categories and prizes were distributed to the winners at the closing ceremony. In the boys' category under 8 years, Satyajeet Shahu (first), Srihan (second), Sharan Itagi (third), in the girls' category, Shivangi (first), Aradhana R. Patil (second), Shriyan Biradar (first), Parth (second), Vedansh (third) in the boys' category under 10 years, Shanvi (first), Shivani Gupta (second) in the girls' category, Vihan (first), Sannihit (second), Krishna (third) in the boys' category under 11 to 17 years, Aarushi (first) and Sankalpa (second) in the girls' category won. Jyotirmayananda Swamiji, President of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram, and Suresh Chanashetti, President of the Kannada Sahitya Parishad District Unit, distributed prizes to the winners. Nitin Karpoor, President of Bidar Chess Academy, who is also in charge of Swami Vivekananda Chess Academy, organized the training and competitions neatly. Nurture School President Datta Mule, Cluster Resource Person Prabhu Thattapati, Bidar Chess Academy Secretary Satish Swamy, Joint Secretary Vikrama Tagare, Member Suresh Swamy, Dr. Nitesh Kumar Biradar and others were present.
