Demand to Restore “Adi Dharam” terminology, Remove Derogatory Caste Words from Census Forms/ Sant Satvinder Heera
Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha /May 29
Under the leadership of Sant Satwinder Heera, national president of All India Adi Dharam Mission (Regd.), missionary leaders of the mission met at the historic Charanchoh Begampura to discuss strengthening the mission’s ideology and activities. Speaking at the sacred site of Guru Ravidas at Charanchoh Sachkhand Begampura near Khuralgadh Sahib, Sant Satwinder Heera appealed to the Government of India and the Punjab government to reinstate the Adi Dharam nomenclature ahead of the 2027 census outreach.
Heera said the Mission has long demanded that the Adi Dharam label, introduced by the great leader Babu Mangu Ram Mugowalia, be restored before the 2027 census begins. He urged that the derogatory terms currently used on census forms for the Valmiki community be removed immediately and replaced with respectful language.
Sant Satvinder Heera further said the Adi Dharam Mission is dedicated to the revolutionary ideology of Satguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, Bhagwan Shri Valmiki Ji Maharaj, Babu Mangu Ram Mugowalia, Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Babu Kanshi Ram, and is working day and night to spread their message among the masses.
On the occasion, Smart Tinku Aron Bhatti (Haryana) was specially honoured. Principal Sant Dharmpal Dham Chanan Puri Shergarh, Sant Hans Pal, Sarbjeet Singh Kandiyana, Rampal Bajhwara and a large number of devotees were also present.
